River and Agutayan Adventure

Image
Chinese New Year is a special holiday in our country so it was a rest day for us working six days a week. We had planned to have an adventure during that holiday break. We went to Jasaan, to my hometown and invited some good friends in our house to sleep overnight since we planned to visit the little island, Agutayan early in the morning. When we arrived at home, we have decided to buy food for our dinner and meals for the next day, of course we need energy boosters!  We went to Jasaan Market which is just 15-20 mins away from our home to buy our supplies. As we passed along the bridge connecting Jasaan and another baranggay, they saw Kabulig River and they're amazed by its beauty. So I told them we can visit the river since it's just a meters away from the market. When I said that, they got pretty excited. After our grocery and snack, we started hiking to the river and had fun chatting along the way.  When they saw the bamboo raft in which we called "balsa" ...

Gardens of Malasag

Sunday, we went to Gardens of Malasag in Cugman CDOC with sis elj and diday. I was delighted I went there; actually it was my first time in Malasag so I’m extremely animated. The Gardens of Malasag is a good place to unwind your exhausted spirit.  It’s a good time to let my hair down, to relax and enjoy the heavenly scene. We really had a great time touring the place, took some lovely photos and laugh to the max. For 30php entrance fee you have all the time of your life and you’ll love to spend it with your loved ones, family and friends.  The place is really overwhelming and it’s a biggie that your body is all set to walk around the place because you’ll probably get exhausted just like what happened to me, nonetheless I got pleasure from walking and sightseeing. I loved to call the place little Baguio although the state of weather is not that chilly. I can’t hide the smile on my face and I thank God for giving us a very w...

Mangrove Planting

Image
I had a very great weekend. It’s so nice to be around nature. Hearing the birds chirping is like a melody to my spirit, fresh breeze and the greenery scene, I felt like I was born again and all the toxins in my body are washing out. First off, Saturday is a biggie day, yes it is. The company organized a Mangrove Planting Activity in El Salvador. I’m indeed thankful for this wonderful opportunity to contribute something for the environment. I can’t hide my enthusiasm since I’ll be planting a mangrove for the very first time ever in my 20yrs of existence. I was a bit worried when it started to rain, but God is so good to us he gives us a very good weather after the rain poured. I think that was a blessing from God and that he was happy to see his people doing something meaningful for the future. Mangroves are marine plant and it grows evenly in a damp area.
