Happiness

Image
What is Happiness? According to Wikipedia, Happiness is a mental or emotional state of well-being characterized by positive or pleasant emotions ranging from contentment to intense joy. People from various backgrounds and cultures have different definitions of it. I believe there is more to it than just a mental or emotional state, I can't even describe it completely.  While reading the book Eat, Pray, Love by Liz Gilbert (totally savoring each chapters of the book!), she describes it as a consequence of personal effort. You fight for it, strive for it, and insist upon it.     I totally believe it's true, when you find that happiness you've been looking for throughout your life, you'll do anything to keep it.  Happiness can mean many different things to others. We all have our own perspective to what it should be. Everyone desires happiness.  As for me, I know that happiness is within reach, you just have to open your eyes to everyday blessings,...

Update: First Week (Weekly Challenge)

The first week of weekly challenge is finally over. I am here to present an update on my weekly challenge. Health: 1.  Drink Herbalife Shake twice a day - I failed on this one.  I started drinking shake Tuesday lunch time and I have managed to continue it until Thursday and Saturday, then I didn't have shake on Friday and Sunday. The thing is I only drink shake once a day. 2. Just 3tbsp of Rice - I did this!! but not a 100%. Last Sunday, I had a date with my boyfriend so I have two scoops of Rice in Tokyo-Tokyo haha! 90% completed the challenge cause I cheated for just a day. 3. Eat fruit twice a day - well, maybe 80% completed. We don't have enough fruits. No fruits by week-end. 4. Go back to Cardio Exercise -  80% failed! I had cardio for just two days in a row.   it was raining and the weather makes me idle . 5. No Sodas for this week. Just plain water or tea - 100% NO SODAS!!! Yay!! Challenges and Changes for 2014

Image
This is my first post for 2014. I was thinking of, no- not New Year’s resolutions rather I want to challenge my-self every month. I was inspired by Zen Habit’s post to create 12 changes for this year.  Well, it says that you have to make one change at a time for maximum effectiveness.  So it would be one change per month and that would be exactly 12 changes for this year. I was thinking though what would be these changes I want to achieve. He suggested some changes on his blog and that’s very helpful. It provided me ideas on how to start this challenge uhmm starting this month. Read more Books – I would love to start this one by reading book series. I have plenty of books here at home. I purchased them last year. I honestly hoard books for pleasure. I mean, they are one of my guilty pleasures. I just can’t stop buying them. Be financially literate – that means I should be reading finance book from now on. Actually, I bought two financial books. I should be wo...

My Home

Well, this is my 1st post for December. I have a lot to share and I feel different today. My boypran came back from Manila last week to join their fiesta celebration last Sunday. He was back in Manila just this morning. He was here for 4 days. We truly missed each other so much. These past few days, he made me so happy that I can't hide the smile in my heart.  Everything is so warm and the sun shines so brightly everytime we are together. I missed him a lot, super much. We just had 3 days bonding since I have to work whole day last Monday. But those 3 days we spent together is my happiest. Days gone by so quickly when you're with your loved one yet so slow when you are not with them. I missed our moments together, it makes me sad of course knowing the distance. But I always believe in him, I believe and trust our love for each other.  We survived a little to no communication for a year, so there's no reason for us to give up. We are planning to buy new phones to co...

I miss you (yes you!)

I should be posting my 3rd part adventure in Bohol but I just want my thoughts to say something. Lately, I've been missing the old me. The old me who writes every now and then. The old me who reads a lot of books. The old me who can watch movies for 2 hours straight. The old me who can watch Koreanovelas for 3 hours. The old me who spends time sleeping when I have nothing else to do. The old me who loves to watch sunset and stars. I don't know why I miss that old me hmmm. source I've been a busy bee lately and I can't even post here everyday. There are some things to sacrifice when you have a lot on your plate. Maybe now I learned how to prioritize things. I learned how to be more conscious with time. I miss the old me without worrying what to do next. I never get bored or feel lonely. Sometimes I do feel lonely, maybe because of the weather hehe but its just me anyway. Maybe the new me is the better version of myself, more determined (tsar!) more future mind...

change your life, change your talk

src img After reading an article from Bo, I realized a lot of mistakes that I made. I don't want to blame anyone since I have complete control of my thoughts and my words. As you can see, if you know me personally, I can get easily irritated and short-tempered. My boyfriend is the victim of my mood swings and I would say things that I never thought would hurt him. I would realized that when I feel his silence. I never meant to say those words but I said it already I can never take it back. Back to reflections I made, I learned these words from Bo on his article and I would like to share them here.  You need to learn a new kind of vocabulary.  Instead of saying, “I have some failures,” say, “I have some lessons.”  Instead of saying, “I have some problems,” say, “I have some hidden blessings.”  Instead of saying, “I’m going through a crisis,” say, “I’m going through a transformational experience.”  Instead of saying, “I don’t have money,” say, “I...
