Book Title: Every Day
Author: David Levithan

photo & summary from goodreads.com

Every day a different body. Every day a different life. Every day in love with the same girl. There’s never any warning about where it will be or who it will be. A has made peace with that, even established guidelines by which to live: Never get too attached. Avoid being noticed. Do not interfere.

It’s all fine until the morning that A wakes up in the body of Justin and meets Justin’s girlfriend, Rhiannon. From that moment, the rules by which A has been living no longer apply. Because finally A has found someone he wants to be with—day in, day out, day after day.

Can you truly love someone who is destined to change every day? A thought provoking question that stays with me after reading Every Day by David Levithan.

Every Day is a story about “A“, a 16 year-old soul who wakes up every morning in a different body, living in a different life every single day. “A” has no definite gender, his soul moves from female to male body, without any warning.  Until one day, A wakes up in a body of a boy named Justin.  “A” thinks that it would just be another ordinary day but surprisingly it wasn’t. “A” meets Justin’s girlfriend, Rhiannon. “A” was taken aback by Rhiannon’s presence until he finds himself falling for her.  “A” realized that he needs more than just a day to be with Rhiannon, but given the circumstances of his situation, he’s unable to. It was love, the driving force in which “A” decides to find his true identity.
