Summer GetAway: Surigao Del Sur

Image
photo credits to the owner (https://www.pinterest.com/melissajaigobin/quotes/)  I've been wanting to travel and visit Surigao since last year. I have posted somewhere here on my blog that I should travel there before my 25th birthday. Why Surigao? I have a cousin from Butuan who went to Enchanted River and I couldn't help but admire its beauty. The travel was supposed to be by June with my cousin however she's pregnant and not permitted to travel. CDO Travel and Tours have a cheap promo for the summer. I told my friends at work after I found out about the promo and they love it.

Dapitan City Tour and Dakak Beach Resort

http://www.fodors.com/news/travel-quote-of-the-week-on-the-stories-of-travel-7420.html I’m so glad I got the chance to travel again but this time with my parents and youngest brother. Every year the company where my Papa works has their summer affair. My Papa and his friends decided to spend the summer in Dapitan City. It was a two days and one night stay in Dakak Beach Resort. It was a very long journey; I just slept through the whole ride since my body is pretty tired with the 2 hrs waiting for the bus and my bag is really heavy! I should have known better, Filipino time is always LATE. Anyway, I did not enjoy the 9 hours trip; it was my first time to travel that long and I didn’t sleep well.  When we arrived in Dapitan, the people are excited to take pictures on the City’s Landmarks. We have a tour guide as well in the bus. Dapitan City is our National Hero’s place, Jose Rizal. He lived there and stayed on that place. Dapitan City is a non commercial place. You can’...

River and Agutayan Adventure

Image
Chinese New Year is a special holiday in our country so it was a rest day for us working six days a week. We had planned to have an adventure during that holiday break. We went to Jasaan, to my hometown and invited some good friends in our house to sleep overnight since we planned to visit the little island, Agutayan early in the morning. When we arrived at home, we have decided to buy food for our dinner and meals for the next day, of course we need energy boosters!  We went to Jasaan Market which is just 15-20 mins away from our home to buy our supplies. As we passed along the bridge connecting Jasaan and another baranggay, they saw Kabulig River and they're amazed by its beauty. So I told them we can visit the river since it's just a meters away from the market. When I said that, they got pretty excited. After our grocery and snack, we started hiking to the river and had fun chatting along the way.  When they saw the bamboo raft in which we called "balsa" ...

Forest Park - Dahilayan

Finally, the day has come! We had pushed through in our outing!!! I had a great time in our team outing at Forest Park, Dahilayan. The weather is great! It was a sunny morning when we traveled last Saturday. We arrived around 10am and It was my first time there so I wasn't expecting the weather is chilly in the morning. Just imagine the coldness during nighttime. One thing I love is the view, I had fun taking photos as well. The place is like a paradise. However, we never got the chance to ride the zipline and buggy ride huhu. The next day, rain came pouring down on earth, it was visibility zero due to the thick fogs and it was super duper cold!To my surprise there were still people who are brave enough to went for a ride on the zipline. How I wish I could go back there. bright and sunny weather on our first day! Early evening in Dahilayan. Our second day. panorama shot :D

Part 3,Bohol:Hinagdanan Cave

Image
My 1st post for this month haha! Anyway, I forgot to post the 3rd story of our trip in Bohol. The last place for our itinerary that day is at Hinagdanan Cave in Panglao, Bohol. I don't know much about this place, I didn't listen to the tour guide's story obviously hehe, just don't ask me about the history of the place..okay? I was tired already when we arrived here, so I'm not that excited to go inside the cave To make the story short I had fun in Hinagdanan. The tour guide amused and surprised us with his witty comments. We are happy he's the one who took the photos. However, the photos were blurry haha! The important thing is we enjoyed our trip. Our short trip was indeed memorable and fun. I can't wait to have a trip again. I want to unwind na kaso busy pa. hehe

Part II: Bohol

My post for this Bohol tour is not yet over! Told you, I have a lot of photos to post. The 2nd stop of our tour is the famous Chocolate Hills! They say that the tour would be incomplete if you haven't seen the Chocolate Hills in Bohol. There's a story behind these lovely hills and we had fun making up one. But there's an original story to these famous hills so you have to search or ask locals if you're that curious. Entrance fee here is 50PHP. Our 3rd stop is at Man-made Forest. I'm not quite sure how many years these trees existed, maybe a decade now. The place has no signal so just be patient and luckily there's no entrance fee here haha!  Our 4th stop would be the abnormal snake Prony. haha! that's all I remembered. This snake is really famous here. The entrance fee is 25PHP. The place has animals however it' really disappointing cause the place is small to think the entrance fee is ...
