Change your Fate

Image
“Fate be changed, look inside. Mend the bond torn by pride.” I love this movie so far however the plot is not that catchy and I must say just an ordinary story. The movie is really entertaining, the characters and their comical side. The accent of course is really cute. I can't wait to hear an Irish speaks in person, they have lovely accent. The movie soundtrack and the characters are perfectly combined. The most funny characters here for me is Merida's father and the cute little boys. I love Merida's locks so much haha! I can't have that kind of hair here in our country though, not suitable for a sunny weather.  source A princess, she is! But she doesn't act like one. Her lovely Mother (the Queen) wants her to act like a princess, to speak like a princess and think like a princess with poise and all. Merida is not just irritated but also annoyed and full of everything. She wants freedom, to do what she wanted but she can't because of rules. Anywa...

From Up on Poppy Hill

I’m in love with this animated movie. This is a movie from Studio Ghibli film. The feelings that I have everytime I watch SG films. I’m just a super fan of their films. The background, the town and the way they create the animation. Its surreal animation makes me very happy, super happy, happy inlove again.  I remember a song way back then I used to sing and I heard it on this movie. The movie was cute, charming and wonderful. A wonderful work of art and the song complements the sugary and cute scenes.  I don’t want to include the plot here since I just want to express how happy I am watching these kinds of movies. Haha! Let me include the director, the writer and the group behind this wonderful movie. They are doing a great job! I wanted to express my happiness and gratefulness on making another movie like this. I love the kilig feeling. I want to live in such a beautiful place. I just hope they’ll make movies such as these through the years and that only the magical es...

I like/adore/love Japanese animated films especially from Studio Ghibli. I've posted this challenge on my tumblr blog, but I decided to post it here since I want to read this over and over again.  1. First Studio Ghibli movie? My first studio Ghibli film movie was Spirited Away. Our neighbor told us to watch it, so we did. What I like about the movie was it has a unique plot. The characters are so cute. The scene and soundtrack complement the whole story. It was a fulfilling fantasy movie. I love watching animated films and that’s the first time I fell in love with Studio Ghibli films. 2. Favorite Studio Ghibli movie and why? Howl’s Moving Castle...

5 Centimeters per Second

Image
A chain of short stories about their distance.. A story about Takaki Tono and his close friend Akari Shinohara. The film consists of three episodes: Cherry Blossom, Cosmonaut, Byosoku 5 Centimeter. "The movie is named 5 Centimeters Per Second for the speed at which cherry blossom petals fall, petals being a metaphorical representation of humans, reminiscent of the slowness of life and how people often start together but slowly drift into their separate ways."   Episode 1: Cherry Blossom Takaki and Akari became close friends when Akari transfers from his school. They became inseparable; they have that same attitude, likes and interest. One day they just realized that they’ll no longer be able to see each other again. After graduating from Elementary school, Akari moves to Tochigi due to her parents’ job. Both keeps on communicating through letters, but Takaki knows that it will somehow end soon. Takaki have to move out to Kagoshima, so he decided to...

Whisper of the Heart

Image
Whisper of the Heart   is a classic film from Studio Ghibli -ek,yah I'm addicted to animated films especially Studio Ghibli *big grin*. The Japanese title of the film is  Mimi wo Sumaseba which  means "if you listen closely". Hayao Miyazaki wrote the screenplay of the film. This is a story of Shizuku Tsukishima a junior high school girl who loves to read books. She loves hanging out in the library - yay! I remember my high school days; I used to hang out in the library after lunch just to read fiction books. Okay back to Shizuku, she eventually noticed that all the books she was reading had been checked out by someone named Seiji Amasawa. One day Shizuku left her book at school when she was talking to a friend, she hurriedly went back and she saw someone reading the book. It was a guy and of course the guy is Seiji but she didn’t catch the name of the guy. She was irritated when the guy commented on the lyrics – she clipped the paper inside the book ...

Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea

Image
Welcome To A World Where Anything Is Possible.  It’s another moving picture from the brilliant director Hayao Miyazaki. Yes, I adore all his animated films especially Howl’s Moving Castle .  I watched this yesterday; the animated movie is about a goldfish princess who wants to be human. The little goldfish princess fell in love to Sosuke. Sosuke is a 5 year old boy lives in an ocean cliff with his mother. One day, he went to the shore and founds a goldfish trapped in a bottle. He rescues the goldfish and names her Ponyo. Ponyo on the other hand is the daughter of a wizard and sea goddess.   Below are some snapshots: Ponyo and Sosuke Ponyo's Mother and Father Ponyo's mother - a sea goddess According to Hayao Miyazaki the plot is inspired by the story "The Little Mermaid"  by Hans Christian Andersen. - The characters are so adorable, the images are very artistic - it was amazing - the scenery in the small village is so pretty....

Howl's Moving Castle

Image
This past few weeks, I'm busy watching Hayao Miyazaki's films. The first animated movie I ever saw back in college when our neighbor knocks at the door and shared an interesting movie named Spirited Away which is a story about a girl who got lost in the world of Gods and Witches. Now, while I was browsing to Miyazaki's IMDB profile, I am surprised that Howl's Moving Castle was one of his films. I am so overwhelmed! Then I decided to download the movie, though I knew it's not yet my first time to watch it, I actually like the plot of this movie. Well, actually the title itself is so obvious right? Yes! Howl's castle is moving and looks like a piece of junk outside but magically a normal house on the inside. Howl is a young wizard and he likes beautiful girls.hehe..too bad he's busy looking for his true love and he turns his back on me (hahaha!), but finally he meets Sophie, a plain girl who works as a hatter on her parent's hat shop.  On...

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs This movie is so hilarious!  I can't help but laugh so hard.Oh, how I wish you could watch it. It's a good movie, trust me..hahah!   The Plot: On the small island of Swallow Falls, the outcast boy Flint Lockwood is a clumsy inventor encouraged by his mother. However the island is not capable of exporting their sardine stocks, and the locals end up having to eat it all the time. Years later, Flint's mother dies and his skeptical father Tim Lockwood, an old fisherman who has a sardine store, gives Flint a partnership in his store and invites him to work there with him.  But Flint, being the inventor that he is, has just invented a food processor that converts water into food.
