The Social Network

" You don't get to 500 million friends without making a few enemies "

As we all know FACEBOOK dominates the Social Networking around the globe with more than millions of active users (me included). Unlike any other businesses, Facebook has its history. Facebook was founded by Mark Zuckerberg with his college roommates and fellow computer science friends Eduardo Saverin, Dustin Moskovitz and Chris Hughes back in February 2004. Back then, the social network exclusive membership is for Harvard students only, but later expanded to other colleges.

This drama film is directed by David Fincher which is all about the founding of Facebook. Stars Jesse Eisenberg as Mark Zuckerberg and distributed by Colombia Pictures, officially set on October 1 2010 in theaters.

According to Eisenberg in an interview with The Baltimore Sun, "Even though I've gotten to be in some wonderful movies, this character seems so much more overtly insensitive in so many ways that seem more real to me in the best way. I don't often get cast as insensitive people, so it feels very comfortable: fresh and exciting, as if you never have to worry about the audience. Not that I worry about the audience anyway - it should be just the furthest thing from your mind. The Social Network is the biggest relief I've ever had in a movie."

A brief history about Mark Zuckerberg. He is the youngest billionaire in the world. Born in White Plains, New York and raised in Dobbs Ferry, New York on the 14th day of May 1984 - which explains that he is now 26 yrs old. Both parents are Jewish -- but he considers himself as an atheist, which simply means he does not believe in God's existence, so ironic huh? He discovered Facebook in his dormitory room in Harvard on February 4 2004.

Well social Network craze is now hitting silver screen! I wonder who's next? Twitter, Tumblr? Friendster ---haha! who knows ;)

  1. Mark Zuckerberg? The Awesome Founder of Facebook.

The film I guess did a pretty good job of capturing the popularoity of Facebook just like The pirates of silicon valley .

I am just worried a lot of talk about this movie has been about the portrayal of Mark Zuckerberg, and how it will affect people's opinions of him and the company...
