Black Swan

Black Swan is a story about Nina who is very obsessed on her profession being a ballerina. She’s working hard to get the role of the Swan Queen from the story Swan Lake. The story of Swan Lake and the Black Swan has similarities. It’s a conflict between good against evil, the innocence of Nina (Portman) and her dark side. This thrill-drama movie is amazing in every aspect.

I love Natalie’s performance, she acts like an innocent child, a baby girl to her mom who is exact opposite to Lily (Mila Kunis), who’s very spontaneous and Nina’s rival.

When Nina chooses to be the Swan Queen, she plays both the character of the White and Black Swan. Her character as a White Swan does not troubled her, the problem is that her character as the Black Swan.

She’s seeking perfection, she wanted to be perfect. Okay I want to quote this one – it’s from the movie – “Perfection is not just about control. It's also about letting go.”
She needs to let herself go but came to the point where she hurts herself. There’s a scene in the movie where she peels her skin – that made my hair jump and that’s pretty scary. Nina is getting insane to pursuit perfection - well no one is perfect. In the end, she lost everything.

The movie is about:

Seeking perfection

Losing grip of reality,

dreams and obsession

Realization:
I realized that it’s not good to put yourself in jeopardy to get what you want, cause you’ll never know you’re losing a part of you that you may never able to get back.  I think this is one of the finest movie of 2010, this movie deserves recognition.
